With the next generation of consoles upon us, it is still not time to unplug your good old Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3. Because of the releases of the PS4 and Xbox One, many hits from the previous generation have dropped severely in price. Here are the best possible games that you can pick up if you do not already own these amazing titles for under $10
1. Red Dead Redemption (9.99 at GameStop)
Red Dead Redemption in my opinion is the best game available for the Xbox 360. You are John Marston, former outlaw hunting down some old friends from his darker times. This game is a true western, and you are blown away the second that you start to roam their vast world and see the sprawling mountain ranges, living communities, and animals out on the prowl. Red Dead Redemption is a game that you will pick up and not put down until you have it 100% completed. This game in my eyes is Rockstar Games’ masterpiece, and a true 10/10 experience.
2. Assassin’s Creed II (9.99 at GameStop)
Assassin’s Creed II was a huge step forward for the story. I did not feel as connected with Altair from the first game as I did with his ancestor Ezio, who I felt was a perfectly written character. Everything was improved for this great sequel, such as visuals, animations, combat, and parkour. This is the best in the Assassin’s Creed series, and is only rivaled
3. Gears of War 2 (0.99 at GameStop)
Gears of War 2 was the game that really made the Gears of War series click for me. I was a fan of the first game, and anticipated the second one, and was blown away by the updated visuals, improved story, and co-op that I didn’t think could get any better from the first game. Gears of War 2 was a severe step up for the series.
4. L.A. Noire (9.99 at GameStop)
L.A. Noire placed me as a detective solving mysteries in the middle of the 1940’s. I found myself scratching my head and searching the crime scenes, along with questioning many people to get to the bottom of the cases. Every case is well thought out, well written, and the acting is unsurpassed by any other game. The motion capture technology is phenomenal, and so is L.A. Noire
5. Fable II (2.99 at GameStop)
Fable II was a blast and in my eyes was one of the best RPGs on the Xbox 360. For me, there was never a dull moment in this RPG Adventure. Every character was well written, and it had this sense of humor that you couldn’t find really anywhere else except one of the other Fable games. This title got me excited for the future of the series, and boy did Fable III live up to what I expected.
Total Price for all Games: $33.95 for all 5 games
